Innovation audit and development of corporate innovation environment

Objectives:

  1. Audit of the company's processes in order to identify points of effectiveness, opportunities and risks for building a financially successful system of internal innovations
  2. Development of the scheme and construction of processes of work with ideas/innovations in the company, taking into account its personnel, technological, administrative and other specifics
  3. Involvement of the company's employees in innovative activities, involvement of functional top management in crowdsourcing projects
  4. Building an effective crowdsourcing architecture in the company
  5. Creation of search, selection and evaluation processes for medtech startups.

Project Description:

The INVITRO company is one of the leaders of the market of medical services with an extensive network. The task was to mobilize the many thousands of employees available to INVITRO, both managers who receive clients in medical centers, as well as laboratory staff and other personnel. Provided that the client wanted to develop two quite different directions at once, which required different methodology: large-scale internal crowdsourcing to optimize the company's activities and the collection of well-developed start-ups in the field of medical technologies, which are supposed to be allocated to separate projects. As a result, a set of measures on innovative audit and consulting was carried out to create a single internal environment of innovation, which would fit into the existing processes of the company, take into account its specifics, but at the same time would allow to build effective processes of crowdsourcing and work with start-ups.

Results:

  1. There were organized meetings with representatives of the company on the basis of which expectations from work with innovations and the current situation were revealed;
  2. Methodological study of possible scenarios of work with innovations in the company has been carried out;
  3. Processes of crowdsourcing and search for ideas / innovations within the company taking into account its specifics, internal regulations and requirements of stakeholders have been developed and formalized;
  4. The process of search and selection of internal startups in the company has been built;
  5. A comprehensive scheme of motivation and rewards for all types of projects has been developed;
  6. The methodologists have compiled communication materials to involve participants into projects;
  7. Possible risks and bottlenecks have been identified, which are maximally leveled by the chosen approaches and methods.
